Cute. Makes Music July 26, 2010 C. S. Hart So, I have had this radio for going on 7 months now. Picks up the station I listen to fairly well if I hang it in a certain spot. (not surprising as the station is weak). Sounds great too....BUT, After adjusting the volume, it will randomly be either blaring or too quiet. I have on numerous occasions turned it all the way down to have it still at peak volume. Too cheap to bother sending it back though.
only worked for 2 months July 24, 2010 Moon Pie (Florida) Worked great, then stopped working. Ok, no problem, it needs new batteries. So I got new batteries but then it wouldn't come on. Eventually it did turn on, worked for about a week, then died again. New batteries one more time, but nothing this time. I tossed it. Just fyi, thank goodness it was pretty cheap.
damaged July 11, 2010 Disappointed 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I received this product damaged. The on/off button was broken. Once the batteries were in, I pushed the button and it was jammed ON. It would not retract out. The radio was not playing as well. I returned it.
love it June 12, 2010 NG (Dallas, Tx) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This radio was just what I was looking for. I love the easy on-off button, the volume controls and the radio stations come in clear and do not fade in and out like my last one, and you cant bet the price!
tunes in the shower! May 30, 2010 MM Steve I like this little radio a lot. It's not perfect, but I give it 5 stars for what it does for $9.99. My favorite station comes in loud and clear while I shower.
The first time I turned it on I was in a vehicle. I couldn't wait to try it at home so I tried it out on the way there after picking it up from the post office. Big disappointment! The radio wouldn't stay on a station, too much static, and I thought I should have paid attention to the negative reviews. I was ready to send it back right then. To my surprise when I got home and hung it over the shower head pipe it worked great.
Tuning it can be a challenge because the knob is small and so is the band range (lots of tiny back-and-forth knob-turning); it's not digital, but once it's been tuned to a station it stays on it (until someone else fiddles with it). We use the radio a couple or more times daily and still, after over 3 months the original batteries are going strong (it takes 4 AAA, not included -- I use Duracell). The volume control knob has 8 dots around it, but positioning the knob just above the 3rd dot is plenty loud in our small shower.
You may need to secure it with yarn or nylon string so it doesn't slide down the shower head pipe when pushing the power button.
